The Gathering Place at Northern Skies offers a private and versatile year-round space for groups hosting work events, workshops, wellness retreats, creative gatherings, family get togethers or milestone events.

Surrounded by trees and within steps of a quiet and crystal clear lake, the Gathering Place offers a peaceful and intentional space for yoga and wellness events, non profit and corporate retreats, creative gatherings, workshops, and group activities of all kinds. Special design touches like cathedral ceilings, large windows and natural finishes blend interior spaces with the surrounding wilderness in a way that invites groups to slow down and take time to focus on being together.
The Gathering Space is ideally suited for hosting private day long or multi-day retreats set in nature. Its stunning lakeside setting inspires a natural rhythm of activity and pause.
During the day, the breeze ripples through the trees while the nearby lake glimmers, inviting brief walks and calming paddles between indoor activities.
In the evening, soft lighting, comfortable seating and the gentle warmth of the fireplace create a reflective, intimate mood - perfect for meditation or gentle movement, generative conversations, or shared meals.

Comfortable Accommodations
At day’s close, treat your event’s guests to comfortably appointed accommodations with luxury amenities and stunning lake views.
Our nearby lakeside cabins and our luxury bell tent offer a total of 22 comfortable beds in eight one, two or three bedroom cabins, each with its own fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower, providing a quiet sanctuary for event attendees to retreat to after a day of activities.
Guests can enjoy the quiet of early morning on their private dock, relax with an evening sauna or canoe ride, or linger under the starlit sky by the campfire as the day winds down.

The Gathering Place comfortably holds up to 100 guests. It is a 30’ x 40’ insulated year-round space with high ceilings, large windows, and flexible seating arrangements including tables, chairs and serving ware.

The Gathering Place can be rented by the day without renting a cabin outside of peak season (July and August). Since the space does not have its own washroom or kitchen, we recommend renting one cabin or a porta potty for any gatherings.

The Gathering Place can be rented for half day, full day or by the week with the following cost:
$150 +HST half day (4 hours)
$300 +HST full day (8 hours)
$1000 +HST week - full day use
$500 +HST week - half day use

The Gathering Place includes tables, chairs, serving ware (large plates, small plates, cups, cutlery, wine glasses) for 50 guests, a projector wall, in-ceiling speakers, high speed wifi and fully dimmable lighting. A propane fireplace adds warmth and comfort during cooler nights and months.
We can work with you to arrange catering, photography, music, yoga and other services for your gathering.
The Gathering Place does not have indoor plumbing but plenty of refreshing drinking water is provided and fully equipped cabins offer washrooms and full kitchens.

While Northern Skies does not provide in-house catering, we work with trusted local caterers to meet your event’s needs. The Gathering Place has a kitchenette area with fresh water, tea and coffee urns, and a mini fridge.
Every cabin also has a fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all dishes and pots and pans for cooking and serving meals.
Guests can cook their own meals in their own cabins, or bring shared meals to the Gathering Place.

Attendees can enjoy access to Chub Lake using our complimentary canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Boats and motors are also available for rent. Attendees have full access to the resort’s amenities, including the sand beach which is perfect for swimming, wood-burning sauna and many nearby hikes and scenic drives.

The Gathering Place is fully insulated and heated with a propane fireplace, and so can be rented all year round. From mid October to mid May there are three year round cabins available for accommodations, with a total of eight beds.
